How can I be sure a used puzzle has all the pieces?
This is our most-asked question, and it's a fair one. Here's exactly what we do:
- Counted puzzles — We physically count every piece before listing. The listing will state the count (e.g., "500/500 pieces confirmed") and note any missing pieces found during the count.
- Uncounted puzzles — Some puzzles are listed as uncounted. This means we have not counted individual pieces. The listing will say "Uncounted — sold as-is." Price reflects this uncertainty. If piece completeness matters to you, please contact us before purchasing.
- Missing piece disclosures — Any confirmed missing pieces are listed in the product description and noted in the photos. We do not knowingly omit this information.
If you need certainty before buying, contact us and we'll tell you everything we know about that specific puzzle.
What do your condition labels mean?
We use a consistent grading system across all listings:
- Sealed / Unplayed — Original shrink wrap or factory seal intact. Puzzle has never been assembled.
- Like New (Complete) — Puzzle appears unplayed or assembled once. Pieces are counted and confirmed complete. Box may show minimal shelf wear.
- Very Good (Complete) — Pieces counted and confirmed complete. Puzzle shows light use. Box may have light wear, small creases, or minor fading.
- Good (Complete) — Pieces counted and confirmed complete. Puzzle has visible signs of use. Box wear is moderate and photographed.
- Good (Uncounted) — Puzzle shows use. Pieces have not been individually counted. Sold as-is.
- Fair / Display / Parts — Significant box damage, heavily worn pieces, or confirmed incomplete. Priced for display, crafting, or collectors who don't mind gaps.
How is box wear shown?
We photograph box wear directly rather than describe it in subjective terms. Listings include photos of all four box edges, corners, the top, and the bottom. If there is a notable dent, split seam, tape repair, price sticker, or writing on the box, it appears in the photos. What you see is what ships.
What are the assembled dimensions of the puzzle?
Assembled dimensions (width × height in inches) are listed in the product description when the information appears on the box or is available from the publisher. If dimensions are not listed, the box itself did not include them. You may also contact us and we can measure the box footprint, though assembled size may vary slightly by edition.
How do I know which edition or year a puzzle is from?
We include edition, year, publisher, and item number in the product description whenever that information appears on the box or lid. Vintage puzzles were often re-released by multiple publishers under the same image title, so edition details matter for collectors — we do our best to capture them. If you need to confirm a specific edition before buying, contact us with your question.
What if I have a question before I buy?
Please reach out — we'd rather answer a question than have you receive something unexpected. Use our Contact Us page to send a message. Include the puzzle title or product link and your question, and we'll respond as quickly as we can.
